Terms of service

Due to the order fulfillment process of our business (which may involve manufacturing some or all of your order), orders cannot be canceled or modified once placed. In the unlikely event of a circumstance that precludes our ability to deliver your order on time, we will contact you to present options - including issuance of a full refund. "On time" means within the time frame for the delivery method you selected at checkout. In any case, you may return your order within 30 days of our shipping date to receive a refund (on everything except sale and custom merchandise).

Custom orders cannot be cancelled or modified and will take longer to receive. The delivery timeframe for custom items is the combined total business days adding the Shipping Method days (as indicated by your selection at checkout) to Production days (7-10). Non-custom items ordered with custom items will ship together upon completion of your made-to-order item (s). It is understood that the tolerable deviation for finished length measurement is +/- 1/2" due to variations in seam allowance in the manufacturing process.

For Made-to-Order Custom items where "Custom Inseam" or "Custom Outseam"  or" Custom Length" is in the product name, we will offer an exchange (remake) or store credit if customer chooses a different style in exchange. If the fabric selected on the original order is unavailable for remake, customer will select from alternate fabrics available at time of remake request.  After 2 remakes, the sale will become final.

Any promotional discount received from the use of a coupon code that is valid on a minimum purchase amount becomes invalid if subsequent returns drop the net purchase amount below the dollar minimum required to qualify for the promo initially. Refunds are adjusted accordingly (i.e. the now invalid coupon amount is deducted from the refund).

Domestic Orders are sent via USPS with no signature required at delivery.  Confirmation of delivery at usps.com will serve as proof that your order was delivered. If you require a signature at delivery, simply add a note to your order.

International Shipments and Force Majeure

Once a parcel leaves the United States and is received by the destination country’s postal or customs authority, Board Shorts World has no control over processing times, inspections, or delivery schedules.

Events such as (but not limited to) labor strikes, acts of war, civil unrest, weather disruptions, and government actions are considered force majeure events that release Board Shorts World from liability for shipping delays.

Customers acknowledge and agree that:

1. Board Shorts World will not issue refunds for delayed shipments resulting from such events.

2. Once delivery occurs, the customer may return the item for a refund within the standard return period, extended by the length of the disruption.

3. Tracking information may temporarily cease updating while parcels are delayed, which does not indicate loss or non-delivery.

4. The customer assumes responsibility for risks related to postal or customs delays beyond the company’s control.

Economy shipments will move from the United Postal Service to your country via Global Post and ultimately delivered to your door by your country's postal service

Due to delays out of our control associated with exporting via the international economy shipping method and the lack of updated tracking after acceptance by your country, please consider one of the UPS shipping services offered at checkout.

For customers outside of the USA, you will be responsible for the payment of any duties, taxes, etc. (as required by your country) related to your shipment.

We recommend providing a phone number when placing your international order - the best way the carrier can contact you regarding collection of any required payment for VAT, Duties, etc. for importation of your order. We understand that some customers are not comfortable providing phone numbers and therefore it is not required to make a purchase from our site. However, if you decide NOT to provide a phone number, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to monitor the portal on our site and contact the carrier directly regarding customs clearance (upon order placement, our system automatically provides a link for you to monitor current order status). If your order is returned to us unclaimed, your refund will be net of the shipping costs we incur in our attempt to ship you the merchandise you order which will be double the amount of shipping on your order as we incur round-trip shipping costs on international shipments.

Unclaimed orders held at a postal facility that are ultimately returned to us will qualify for store credit for the merchandise portion of the invoice with no credit for shipping charges. It is your responsibility to pick up your shipment when notified by the carrier.

Shipping charges are non-refundable and actual delivery timeframes are estimated with no date-specific delivery guarantees. If the actual delivery time for your order falls outside the published delivery timeframe for the shipping method selected at checkout, we will adjust the shipping charge so that you only pay for the shipping you ultimately get.

Any non-returnable custom or sale item sent back to us without prior authorization will be returned to you upon payment of return shipping charges
