The Early Years

Back in the early 2000s, XELOS® trunks found their way from Gulf Coast beach towns to boats, backstage coolers, and country music tour buses.

One of those packages landed with a rising Kenny Chesney — who sent back a handwritten note saying our Xelos® board shorts were headed straight for his boat after Christmas.

That mix of coastal living, music, surf heritage, sandbars, tailgates, and saltwater freedom has always been part of the DNA around here.

Still is.

We have made every piece we have sold since Day One in 2005. For 21 years now we've been delivering our 100% Handmade-in-California quality brands to 1OO's of thousands of people in 19 countries around the world from this store and our outlet store at BSWoutlet.com.

Along the way we've been privileged to do business with some famous people like Larry Page  (co-founder of Google),  Tony Robbins (best-selling author and life coach),  John Rzeznik (vocalist/guitarist for rock band Goo Goo Dolls), David Victor (guitarist for the rock band Boston),  actress Sandara Bullock and many others. And we've also had the privilege of supplying bulk board shorts to some awesome companies like Nickelodeon  ("pool party" costumes for The Fresh Beat Band), Discovery Channel  (Shark Week), Sea World,  Six Flags,  Universal Studios, Georgia Aquarium  (sea lion trainer uniforms) and lime green trunks for Mountain Dew promos just to name a few.
